teds old timer lapaz batchoy

Since officially starting the business in 1945, Ted's Oldtimer has slowly but surely revolutionized the most famous Ilonggo Dish that we all grew up and come to love, The Original LAPAZ BATCHOY.
Being a pioneer of this fabled dish, it is an undeniable fact that Ted's Oldtimer has brought Lapaz Batchoy to what it is now. Under the watchful eyes and pioneering efforts of the daughter of Ted's, Mrs. Adelfa Borro, the business has grown steadily, and with the help of her husband Mr. Larry Borro, they managed a business which is now considered as one of the culinary icons of original ilonggo cuisine.
The original lapaz batchoy back then was served only in two variants, ordinary and special. With a keen eye on customer needs, Ted's changed the level of the playing field and started to serve the 3 variants, Special, Super Special, and Extra Super Special. The reason behind of eliminating the ordinary is that..... every customer is "special".
The 60's introduced another innovation for Ted's Oldtimer, The Miswa Batchoy, the Angel Hair fine noodles is equally delicious but lighter on the tummy.
The mid 70's was a dark day for the family of Ted's Oldtimer. It is the decade in which the Lapaz Batchoy Innovator journeyed back to his creator. The passing away of Ted's also signalled a new dawn for the business...it is the start of an era where the dish would be further innovated and brought to what it is now today.
Since the 70's up to the 90's, Ted's introduced more innovations. It started to serve the Sotanghon Batchoy and Bihon Batchoy. Sotanghon(Vermecilli Noodles) with its silky, smooth, and elastic nature, gives one a refreshing feeling, even though the broth is pipping hot. Bihon(Rice Stick Noodles) is a neutral concoction, wherein one will be given the feeling of freedom after enjoying a satisfying meal.
Millenium has come and so does another innovation of Ted's. 2005 introduced Ted's Oldtimer's latest innovation, 100% Beef Batchoy. Beef Batchoy can be served with the traditional Meke/Miki Noodles,Miswa,Sotanghon, or Bihon. What ever suits the customer best.
In their innovations, Ted's never compromised their quality.
Since 1945, Ted's has served its customer with the finest and the freshest possible ingredients.
Visit Ted's Now and experience their culinary innovations.

Probably one of the most easily-identifiable signature foods of Iloilo City is Batchoy. Batchoy is a soup with egg noodles, freshly chopped spring onions, pork offal, chopped garlic, black pepper, chicaron, and in some instances, fresh egg.
Batchoy originally originated in the District of La Paz in Iloilo City. Many would say that the best and original La Paz Batchoy originated at the eateries near the La Paz Public Market.

“Obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.”
This is one of my many favorite quotes of my idol Michael Jordan.

Year 2004 when i join the try out  to be part of the ILOILO NATIONAL TEAM and i was so blessed to be selected...

Iloilo Warriors was formed in 2004 by the Iloilo Basketball League (IBL) with Toyota Iloilo executive Robert Uy as president and prime backer. The ownership was officially transferred to Uy this year naming the team Toyota Iloilo Warriors (also known as Toyota Turbos in local competitions). Aside from their NBC stint, the Ilonggo team is also active in the Negros Basketball Association winning the championship crown in back-to-back fashion (2005 and 2006). It also managed to get into the semifinals of the Mindanao-Visayas Basketball Association (MVBA).

My JOURNEY

On July 04, 1983 i was born in a wonderful world. I was the first child of Benny Tupas Leonida and Elsie Degoma Prudente. I live a normal childhood life, my parents give everything that i need. Years later our family becomes bigger as my 3 siblings were born, my brother Rey my sister Jonna Jen and our youngest sister Jenna Mae.

I went to Central School during my kindergarten  years until grade 5, and i was transferred and able to finished my Elementary at Molo 2 Elementary School due to health problem.

I spent my first year and second year high school at Iloilo City High National High School as a scholar under the drum and bugle crops and i was able to participate in the ILOILO DINGYANG COMPITION under the TRIBU LONOK.
But during the summer of my second year my passion for basketball open the door for me to be part of the basketball varsity member of University of Iloilo as i participate for the try out. During my third year i was part of the champion team for the first ever street ball challenge in the Visayas Region by ADIDAS and was able to go to manila to meet KOBE BRYANT and we finish as second place overall. And i was able to finished my High School at the University of Iloilo.

I went to Iloilo Computer and Business College during my first year College because i was offer to play for that school, but it turns out not good for me, then my parents decided that I am not going to play basketball instead focus on my schooling and they transferred me at the University of San Agustin and took up Marketing Degree, I admit it is not that easy to let go the passion i love, the love of ball after one afternoon during one of the friendly game in the gymnasium someone approach me and want me to be part of the varsity team and they will going to return what ever payment i already made, first i am hesitant but my heart says i must go on.because of a lot of opportunities for playing as pro my study sacrifice but i am willing to finish it what ever it may take, education is the most important thing that matter.
